Mr. C. Dean and Mrs. Marianne Metropoulos are long standing members of the Orthodox community together with their two children, Evan and Daren. The Metropoulos family have been very active in the acquisition (private equity) business having acquired 87 companies around the world and five SPACS. Marianne Metropoulos heads the Metropoulos Family Foundation which focuses on many philanthropic causes. She is the Principal Benefactor for HRH Prince’s Trust International, providing education for underprivileged children around the world including Greece, Rwanda, and Kenya, among others. The Foundation also supports cancer research with the Memorial Sloan Kettering Epigenetics Cancer Center, the Hole in the Wall Gang Camps for children with cancer, and numerous other education, animal abuse, and environmental causes, as well as being a member of the Giving Pledge. Marianne also wrote and produced the feature film “Cliffs of Freedom”, depicting Greece’s 1821 revolution against the devastating 400-year occupation of the Ottoman empire.
