Metropolis of San Francisco
The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco encompasses the western region of the United States and is led by His Eminence Metropolitan Gerasimos. The Metropolis is comprised of 67 parishes in Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington. Under the direction of Metropolitan Gerasimos, the Metropolis supports its parishes and faithful through the efforts of 13 key ministries which include: Christian Education, Church Music, Clergy Continuing Education, Family Wellness, Folk Dance and Choral Festival, Greek Language and Culture, Greek Village Immersion Camp, Missions and Evangelism, Orthodox Parish Leadership, Philoptochos, Saint Nicholas Ranch and Retreat Center, Stewardship, and Youth and Young Adult Ministries. These ministries provide spiritual and educational programs for the preservation and perpetuation of our Orthodox faith and Hellenic culture, as well as social and outreach activities to support local and international communities.
