Meropi Neamonitakis Elected to Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew Foundation Board of Trustees

At a meeting on December 13, 2025, the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew Foundation (EPBF) Board of Trustees unanimously re-elected its officers and elected Meropi Neamonitakis to the Board of Trustees.

Meropi Neamonitakis fills the vacancy that was created with the retirement of Archon Thomas S. Cappas, Esq., an outstanding member of the Board of Trustees who was responsible for bringing numerous FOUNDERS to the EPBF.

Meropi Neamonitakis is the wife of Archon Michael P. Neamonitakis, Regional Commander for New York City and Long Island. Archon Mike is the son of Archon Petros Neamonitakis, and he and Meropi have three children, Kyra, Petros and Margarita. They are stewards of Kimisis Tis Theotokou and Holy Cross parishes in Brooklyn, New York, and are members of Leadership 100, Donor Wall Members of St. Nicholas Church and National Shrine and AHEPA. They are also FOUNDERS of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew Foundation. Mrs. Neamonitakis is a Trustee of the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and National Shrine and has served as Co-Chair of the New Members Committee of the EPBF. Meropi and Archon Mike have taken the lead in organizing the annual special event for FOUNDERS in good standing that takes place during Thursday evening of Archon Weekend, which have been elegant, entertaining and fun!

Dr. Anthony J. Limberakis, Chair of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew Foundation, stated: “It is deeply gratifying to see a devoted and dedicated couple such as Archon Mike and Meropi Neamonitakis step up and show their love for our Holy Mother Church in new and always exemplary ways. Meropi Neamonitakis has demonstrated her commitment to protecting and defending the global ministry of our beloved Ecumenical Patriarchate and will be a superb addition to the EPBF Board of Trustees.”

“It is my honor to serve God and His Holy Church,” said Mrs. Neamonitakis. “The Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew Foundation is meeting an urgent need and ensuring that our children and our children’s children will be able to receive the immense blessings of our Holy Orthodox Faith. I’m grateful for the honor and privilege of serving on the EPBF Board of Trustees.”
